Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the following organizational and personnel changes, effective April 1, 2022.

1. Organizational Changes

(1) Changes in Production Engineering

Aims

• Establish a structure to plan and promote the development of core technological components to enhance readiness and flexibility for new production technologies amid major changes in vehicle structures, including CASE and carbon neutrality compliance.

Details of changes

• Some of the functions of the Production Engineering Division and Production Planning Department will be transferred to the newly established Production Engineering Development Promotion Department.

(2) Changes in Domestic Business

Aims

• Enhance the value of the customer experience by strengthening our system to allow closer cooperation in order to respond quickly and appropriately to the evermore diverse needs of customers as a result of fast-paced digitalization and increasingly sophisticated vehicles.

Details of the change

• The TCM Promotion Department, Business Development Department, Brand Promotion Department, Sales Development Department, Sales Promotion Department, Dealer Management Department and Sales Department will be eliminated and the functions of said departments will be reorganized and transferred to the newly established Domestic Business Development Department, Domestic Product Marketing Department, Customer Journey Development Department and Outlet Operation Support Department.
• The Customer Relations Department will be renamed to Customers Relations Promotion Department, and the Fleet Sales Department will be renamed to Fleet/Fleet Employees Sales Department.
• Functions of the Domestic Corporate Communication Department of the Corporate Communication Division will be partially transferred to the Domestic Product Marketing Department.

(3) Changes in Public Relations

Aims

• Establish a structure that enables timely, consistent and well aligned internal and external communications.

Details of changes

• The Corporate Communications Division will be reorganized.
• Part of the functions of the Corporate Communications Division, the Brand Marketing Department, the CSR & Environment Department will be transferred to the newly established Communication Supervisory Department. The remaining functions of the CSR & Environment Department will be transferred to the Plant Engineering Department.
• Functions of the Global Communications Planning Department will be partially transferred to the newly established Communications Planning Department. Likewise, some of the functions of the Global Communications Planning Department and the Domestic Corporate Communications Department will be transferred to the newly established Media Relation Department. The remaining functions of the Domestic Corporate Communications Department will be transferred to the Domestic Product Marketing Department.
• The Corporate Liaison & Research Department will now report to the Corporate Communications Division.
